🌿 Kebaonish Tea Journey — Week 5: Humility

🌿 Kebaonish Tea Journey — Week 5: Humility

Our Kebaonish Tea Journey continues this week.

Last week, we continued with Bravery (Aakdehewin). This week, we move on to the fifth tea in our seven-week journey — Humility (Dbaadendziwin).

🐺 Humility (Dbaadendziwin)

The fifth tea in our Kebaonish Tea Journey is Humility (Dbaadendziwin), represented by the Wolf.

The Wolf reminds us that living for the community, and not only for ourselves, is an important part of humility.

This teaching encourages us to think about the needs of others, listen to them, and act with compassion and empathy.

I like the idea that humility isn't about making ourselves smaller. It's about remembering that we are part of something bigger than ourselves.

🍵 A Cup of Humility

The Kebaonish Humility tea is a herbal blend of lemongrass, chamomile, spearmint, valerian, and anise.

For me, what makes this tea special is the balance of its different flavours and aromas.

The aroma has a refreshing minty note, with a little spice from the anise.

The flavour is gentle and slightly fruity from the chamomile, with a refreshing coolness from the mint and a subtle sweetness from the spices. I really like how well these flavours balance each other.

Humility is a little difficult for me to think about.

Kebaonish describes Humility as understanding ourselves and our gifts with humility, and setting a positive example for others to follow.

It made me wonder: What does Humility mean to me?

I sometimes wonder if my children can see how much I enjoy what I do, while also working hard to keep CHA CHA TEA going.

Maybe that is part of Humility, too.

Not just thinking about what I have done, but also recognizing the people and circumstances that have helped me along the way.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that there are so many people who have been part of my journey.

And maybe Humility is about remembering that we don't do everything on our own.

🌿 Until Next Week

I hope this week’s tea gives you a little moment to slow down and enjoy.

I’ll be back next week with the next tea in our Kebaonish Tea Journey.

See you next week for Tea #6. 🍵
