🌿 Kebaonish Tea Journey — Week 6: Honesty (Gwekwaadziwin)

🌿 Kebaonish Tea Journey — Week 6: Honesty (Gwekwaadziwin)

Our Kebaonish Tea Journey continues this week.

Last week, we continued with Humility (Dbaadendziwin). This week, we move on to the sixth tea in our seven-week journey — Honesty (Gwekwaadziwin).

🐦‍⬛ Honesty (Gwekwaadziwin)

The sixth tea in our Kebaonish Tea Journey is Honesty (Gwekwaadziwin), represented by the Raven.

The Raven reminds us to be genuine in our words and actions.
The teaching of Honesty encourages us to be truthful, straightforward, transparent, and accountable. It reminds us that honesty helps build trust and stronger relationships with the people around us.

For me, honesty feels like one of those values that sounds simple, but can sometimes be harder to practise than it seems.

🍵 A Cup of Honesty

The Kebaonish Honesty tea is a rooibos-based herbal tea blend.

For me, what makes this tea special is its lovely aroma and smooth, easy-to-drink flavour. The aroma has a natural sweetness from the rooibos, with a refreshing citrus note from the orange. The flavour is smooth and mellow, with the distinctive citrus character of orange. There is also a little warmth and spice in the background. I don't really notice the chicory on its own, but it seems to add a little depth to the blend.

I find this tea very easy to drink. It would be a lovely choice after a meal, or for anyone who wants something that feels a little like tea but would prefer to avoid caffeine.

I also really like the colour of this tea. It has a beautiful reddish orange, a lovely aroma, and a delicious flavour.

Overall, I think it is a really lovely herbal tea.

🌿 Until Next Week

I hope this week’s tea gives you a little moment to slow down and enjoy.
I’ll be back next week for the final tea in our Kebaonish Tea Journey.

See you next week for Tea #7. 🍵
